The Three Ancestors
Before memory, before names, before time itself, there were three.
Saga, the eldest, made the world and the Order that runs it — people and every living thing, day and night, life and death, the turning of the seasons, and the words and numbers by which they are known.
Fuga, her brother, has walked the world ever since and has never once stopped. He sees every oath kept and every oath broken. He does not judge. He remembers.
Darga, the youngest, sits still and thinks, always. When the turning ages leave the Order no longer fitting the world, he quietly remakes it.
